I’m Bill Kinkel, an independent, fee-based Investment Advisor Representative with two decades of experience serving families and business owners. A Greenville University graduate, I focus on uncovering blind spots and building simple, effective systems in both investment strategy and planning. Reid Mortensen has lived and worked in the River Bend area since 1976. After 30 years of representing major insurance and financial services firms, he founded Genesis Insurance & Financial Advisors, LLC, and co-founded Genesis Wealth Management Group, LLC, an Illinois State Registered Investment Advisory firm. Reid is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the state of Illinois and Missouri. Acting as a fiduciary for his clients, he is under regulatory review to always represent the best interests of his clients. Reid also holds state insurance licenses In Illinois, Missouri, Texas, and Utah.
Reid has been married to Marsha since 1972, together they are the parents of six children and grandparents of 25. Reid is active in the Riverbend community. Reid serves on the Board of Directors of Senior Services Plus, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit area aging agency established to help enrich the lives of older adults. Senior Services Plus provides opportunities and resources to adults as they age through programs and services that encourage independent living and wellness. Reid is also a past Assistant District Governor of District 6430 as well as a past president of the Rotary of the Riverbend.
Michelle Zimmer is a lifelong local resident with deep roots in the community and a genuine commitment to the families she serves. As a proud mother of two, she understands the importance of protecting what matters most and building lasting financial confidence across generations.
With over 20 years of experience in the banking industry and full insurance licensure, Michelle brings a strong foundation of financial expertise, precision, and trust to every client relationship. Her background allows her to offer thoughtful, tailored solutions with a high level of professionalism and care.
Michelle is honored to continue the family business alongside her sister-in-law, carrying forward the legacy her father established more than 40 years ago. She looks forward to building on that tradition with integrity, discretion, and a modern approach to client service.
Jamie Payne is a licensed Insurance Agent and Investment Advisor Representative who believes in working closely with her clients to develop a deep understanding of what they really want and need. She takes the time to learn about her clients, their families, their businesses, and their goals for the future.
Jamie has lived and worked in the Edwardsville–Bunker Hill area for most of her life. She graduated from Edwardsville High School in 2006 and from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She currently resides in Bunker Hill, Illinois with her husband Nic and their three children.
Jamie’s professional career spans over 15 years of combined experience in education, accountancy, insurance, and financial advising.
Jamie holds an Illinois and Missouri Insurance license and, while working with her clients, saw an opportunity to expand the services she could provide to them in the matter of investments. She obtained her registration in the State of Illinois and Missouri as an Investment Advisor Representative with Genesis Wealth Management.
In addition to her professional achievements, Jamie is also active in her community. She spent years serving on the Board of Directors of the Bunker Hill Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving on Bunker Hill Community District 8 School Board.
Jon Payne’s professional career spans over 40 years of combined experience providing insurance and financial products to clients. His career began in 1983 as an Insurance agent helping people with their life insurance needs. Jon holds his state insurance license in Illinois and Missouri. After working with several national insurance agencies, Jon founded Genesis Financial Group, Inc.
Realizing a need to implement investments for his clients to achieve their retirement goals, he became registered to provide investment services to the people he serves in 1985. Fulfilling a growing need of his clientele prompted him to get registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in 1999. In 2011 Jon co-founded the independent Registered Investment Advisory firm Genesis Wealth Management, LLC, an Illinois State Registered Investment Advisory firm. Jon is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the states of Illinois, Missouri, and Florida.
He has been married to Robin since 1979, and they are the parents of two children and grandparents of five. He is active in the Metro East Area. He served a total of twelve years on the Bunker Hill School Board, four of them as president. He currently sits on the Macoupin County Board.
